It’s not just about where you live - it’s how you live
Many retirees tell us they felt isolated in their old homes.
Too many rooms that sat empty. Fewer visitors. Less purpose. More silence.
Retirement should feel rich in connection, not routine.
It should open up your world, not shrink it.
Lockerbie Village was designed with you in mind.
Here, everything is set up to help you live well, stay active, and feel connected.
The Lodge
Lockerbie Village offers a full range of thoughtfully designed, resident-only facilities, anchored by The Lodge - our newly opened community hub at the heart of village life.

Swimming Pool and Gymnasium
Our 12m x 4m heated indoor pool is available for a variety of activities such as swimming, water aerobics and physiotherapy. Residents can also relax in the spa pool after they have used the gymnasium.

Residents Lounge
Come have a drink, play a game of pool or watch the big game in our lounge.

Country Style Kitchen
An open country style country style lounge dining space provides indoor and outdoor flow to our outdoor areas.

Outdoor Entertaining
Our Resident’s Lodge features expansive decking, a pétanque court and an outdoor kitchen for barbequing.

Library
You can spend the day reading a good book in our cosy library or play regular card games with other residents.

The Lodge
– Production Garden
The Production Garden is perfect for those with green fingers and features several raised gardens, a glasshouse, and a multitude of fruit trees for residents to enjoy.

Care and support, if you need it
We intend for Village residents to have access to quality, specialised care close to home. To make this happen we have entered into an agreement with CHT Care Homes, a not-for-profit organisation with a proud history of over 60 years providing rest home, hospital and dementia care services, as well as innovative facility design. CHT Care Homes has received resource consent to construct a 60-bed aged care home on land right beside the Village and construction is still in the planning stage.

Oak Eatery
- A café at the heart of the community
At Oak Eatery, connection happens over great coffee and good food.
The Oak Eatery is open seven days a week, serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch.
It’s a place where mornings start with friendly hellos, weekends are made for long lunches, and every visit feels like home.

Lockerbie Junction
– Everyday essentials, right here
Spend less time running errands and more time enjoying life.
A true thriving community includes more than just homes, it provides the convenience of local services.
Construction begins in 2025, making it easier than ever to access essential services close to home.
In the near future, Lockerbie Junction will feature a medical centre, pharmacy, and superette.

Green spaces that bring people together
With over 14 hectares of public and open spaces, Lockerbie Estate gives residents the freedom to walk, bike, and relax in nature.
- Davies Park is the heart of the community, home to 100-year-old London Plane and English Oak trees and sweeping views of the Kaimai Range.
- Thoughtfully designed walking and cycling paths make it easy to stay active and connect with nature.
This is a place where weekend strolls, a round of golf, bike rides, and casual meet-ups with friends happen naturally.
Curious about what life here feels like?
Can my family use the facilities with me?
Yes, your guests are welcome to join you when visiting. It’s your home, and The Lodge is an extension of it.
Is there an extra cost to using the facilities?
No. All of The Lodge facilities are included in your weekly fee.
Are there organised activities?
Yes. From aquarobics to men’s breakfasts, happy hours to movie nights, there are regular events and opportunities to get involved.
Is there outdoor space too?
Absolutely. Landscaped gardens, BBQ areas, terraces, and a pétanque court offer space to relax or gather outside.
What if I’m not very social?
That’s totally fine. Use the Lodge as much or as little as you like. Your home is your sanctuary, but the community is there if and when you want it.
Is the Lodge accessible for people with mobility needs?
Yes. The Lodge has been built with accessibility in mind — no steps, wide doorways, and facilities that cater to all residents.
